Organized in June of 1996, the Lake Ericson Garden Club has done an outstanding job of beautifying our lake. Please take time to thank the members who work so hard for your enjoyment. Lake Ericson Garden Club Ten Year History 2006

*Memberships - 18
*Planted and maintains entrance sign landscape design. (Received 1998 Federated Garden Club of NE 1st Place Landscape Design Award.)
*Landscaped/maintains projects at the information sign, community building, carousel area and swim area.
*Planted two memorial trees in memory of Willa Scudder and Buck Watson.
*Provided by three members and their families memorial benches for Gordon Patterson, Audrey Dodson, and Betty Whitney; W.W. Norton, C.H. Norton and W.H. Norton.
*Provided by member and family the memorial handicap fishing pier garden in memory of Ray and Myrtle Young.
*Painted carousel with the assistance of the courts community service program and the Greeley Boy Scouts.
*Developed Lake Ericson Service Information Flyer.
*Pat Boilsen... NE Humanity Presentation...Concert Fund Raiser.
*Provided materials and design for the Entrance Sign.
*Planted trees at the Camp Ground for Memorial given in honor of William H. Norton.
*Initiated the design and planting project in cooperation with the Board of Directors of Lake Ericson, at the Lower Loup NRD sign at the Dam.
*Received Wheeler County Foundation grant, July 2006 for a privacy fence at the Public Beach.

These Projects have been funded through membership dues, grants from the Federated Garden Club and Wheeler County Foundation, donations from Ericson State Bank, proceeds from sales of Lake Ericson Entrance Sign pencil drawn stationary (see below) and many generous memorial contributions. The club worked cooperatively with the Lake Ericson Association and members.
